IB DP Biology Teacher

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To be at the front line of teaching, the DP subject teachers are responsible for managing students’ learning progress and fulfilling their learning needs by assessing variously and providing improvement solutions. The DP subject teachers are also supporting the DP cores engagement (i.g. Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, Creativity, Activity and Service) and the DP authorization (curriculum development, collaborative planning, etc.) and DP authorization process.

Requirement

• Bachelor degree or above
• Certificate in Secondary Teacher recognized by the national government
• More than two years of teaching experiences in international schools or schools abroad (IB related referable but not mandatory)
• Experience in leading or participating in the student field trip
• Being flexible in undertaking more than one subject area and/or grade level
• Being passionate in education and teaching and having the good work ethic
• Being collaborative with others and being responsible
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Age limit for hiring in China is 57

About the School:

The Kang Chiao International School Xi’an Qujiang Campus is a filiated school from the Kang Chiao International School system found in Taiwan since 2000. By the invitation of the Chinese government and business partner, it has started the business in China from 2014 in Suzhou, 2018 in Xi’an, 2019 in Hefei, and other two campuses under preparation in Suzhou and Wuxi. At the Xi’an Qujiang campus, it opened the door officially in September 2019, and we have welcomed nearly 1,000 students from the primary school to grade ten. Our target number of student enrollment for the year 2020-21 will be double.

The programme that Kang Chiao is offering now for the high school is the American Curriculum System. To provide a range of opportunities to the school community, Kang Chiao is planning to get Diploma Programme (DP) authorized in the year 2021.
